
Joy Pfister
Joy Pfister is the Executive Director for The North Carolina International pageants. She is excited to be part of this organization and to bring the dream of being a North Carolina International Queen to you!
Joy Pfister is the president and co-founder of two sun protective companies, SunEssence and Kristy J. Both were created to give women fashionable alternatives when it comes to sun protection. Joy is also the celebrity spokesperson for the American Melanoma Foundation and a presenter of the EPA SunWise Program for kids in which she strives to promote early skin cancer education and prevention. She has been featured on Comcast Television, CGI magazine, Health Network Radio, WNBC Style Show, Surf Girl Magazine (UK), N The Groove Magazine, Richmond Magazine, the Richmond Times Dispatch, CNBC The Big Idea, and many others, promoting Skin Cancer education and prevention methods. Her a companies have donated thousands of dollars in product to the Miles for Melanoma Walk, Georgia Skin Cancer Foundation, The Shade Foundation's Festival of Trees event, the American Melanoma Foundation and many more. Product donations have helped raise awareness, provide fashionable and feminine sun care alternatives and have been raffled to raise money for educational and early research programs for Melanoma.
2008 brought huge excitement as Joy was crowned Mrs. Virginia International 2008 and went on to make "top 10" at the Mrs. International Pageant in Chicago 2008. Her experience was such a thrill that she wanted to be a state director for the system. Joy is no stranger to pageants, and has held such titles as Mrs. Virginia-America '04, Mrs. Virginia Galaxy '05, Beauties Of America 30's National Queen 2007 and has even written a book entitled Training For The Crown, available on in our Store and on Ebay! Joy has been acting, dancing and competing on and off stage for nearly 15 years.
During the International Pageant in Chicago, Illinois, Joy won the prestigious Director of the Year Award 2009.
She is happily married to Ken and they have two children, Riley and Madison.
