Miss Overview

You will meet with our official panel of judges for a one on one 5 minute interview. A professional business suit/pant suit is the attire for the Interview competition. Panty hose are optional. Open toed shoes are optional. No political or religious questions allowed. Each contestant will need to have a platform for which she will speak on during her year, if selected Miss or Teen North Carolina International.

Interview (40% of score)

FUN FASHION WEAR ( TEEN & MISS):

The Fashion wear presentation is a modeling segment of the competition. The contestant's outfit should be something that she would wear to an upscale event, fashion show or New Year’s Eve Gala or MTV event. This should reflect your personality and be something that shows off your flair for fashion and style.

Fun Fashion Wear (20% of score)

ON STAGE INTERVIEW (Miss and Teen):

You may wear the same suit that you wore to personal interview or change to an upscale interview suit (rhinestones or jeweled.). This outfit will be used as competition wardrobe for the On Stage Interviews. All contestants should be prepared with this outfit. Each Teen, Miss and Mrs. contestant will have a maximum of 30 seconds to give a speech about their platform of choice.

Fitness Wear (20% of score)

Each contestant will wear the state selected fitness wear, designed specifically for Miss North Carolina International by Competitive Image. Each contestant will be judged on being physically fit, energetic, and healthy. Miss and Teen wear a 2-peice set with White Sneakers.

MISS and TEEN

Evening Gown (20% of score)

Each contestant will wear her own personal choice of evening gown. Each contestant will be judged on grace, poise and elegance in Evening Wear.

40% Interview

20% Fitness Wear

20% Fun Fashion Wear

20% Evening Gown

High and low scores are dropped in each category.

Teen: contestants age 13 to 18 as of July 1st of the competition year.

Miss: contestants age 19 to 29 as of July 1st of the competition year.
